The Town of Palm Beach says it has two public beaches on the island, Midtown Municipal Beach and Phipps Ocean Park, with lifeguards every day of the year. This page covers where they are, their hours, the meters and rates, the dog rule and Phipps Ocean Park’s reopening, and it says plainly which beach rules we could not read on a live Town page. We checked everything on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
The Town gives two mileage figures: its visitor page says 12 miles of beachfront, and its government page says three miles of public beaches. They measure different things, so we quote both and do not pick one.

What the Town does not publish, or we could not read
The Town’s beach FAQ page now returns a page-not-found message, and no live Town page we read sets out rules on alcohol, smoking, glass, tents or fires on the public beaches. We state none of them. Ask a lifeguard on duty, or call Town Hall at 561-838-5400. The only swimming information we hold is the Town’s lifeguard hours above; we make no claims of our own about conditions in the water.
