Royal Poinciana Way and The Royal Poinciana Plaza

The short answer

Royal Poinciana Way is the north-end commercial street of the Town of Palm Beach. The Royal Poinciana Plaza, at No. 340, was built in the 1950s to John Volk's design and lists Thursday jazz at Sant Ambroeus and ticketed shows at Glazer Hall. Bradley Park is at No. 343, and the Town's North End meters run 9 AM to 5 PM through ParkMobile.

Royal Poinciana Way is the commercial street at the north end of downtown on Palm Beach island. The Town of Palm Beach lists it among its North End streets for parking, and two addresses on it are well sourced: Bradley Park at 343 Royal Poinciana Way and The Royal Poinciana Plaza at 340. This page covers both, what else is close by, and the meters, all checked on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. The Town publishes no page about the street’s own history or streetscape, so we tell you only what the sources say.

  • We found no Town page describing Royal Poinciana Way itself (history, streetscape or length); the street appears on the Town's North End meter list and as the address of Bradley Park and the Royal Poinciana Plaza. Town of Palm Beach: Park in Palm Beach

Where it is

The Town says three bridges lead from West Palm Beach to Palm Beach: the Flagler Memorial Bridge, the Royal Park Bridge and the Southern Boulevard Bridge. It places Bradley Park, on Royal Poinciana Way, near the Flagler Memorial Bridge. The spans open for boats on a U.S. Coast Guard schedule; the Town gives 15 and 45 past the hour for the Flagler Memorial Bridge, and once an hour in workweek peak hours. Its key dates put the original Flagler Memorial Bridge in 1938.

The street shares its name with Henry Flagler’s Royal Poinciana Hotel, which the Town says was completed in 1894 and was the largest wooden structure in the world. No Town page we read says more about the street itself, so we do not repeat the stories other sites tell. The hotel’s part in the island’s story is on our history page.

The Royal Poinciana Plaza

The Royal Poinciana Plaza lists its address as 340 Royal Poinciana Way, Palm Beach, FL 33480, phone 561-440-5441; its site footer names WS Development. The Plaza says it was built in the 1950s and stands today as a landmarked property. In its own history, John S. Phipps asked architect John Volk to design a shopping plaza “in any style you wish; however, it must endure for fifty years.” The Plaza also says Gucci opened its very first store outside of New York there, and that F.A.O. Schwartz was an anchor tenant.

Today the Plaza’s site lists tenants including Cartier, LOEWE, Bottega Veneta, Veronica Beard, Kiton and Frame, plus Sant Ambroeus and Celis Juice Bar. Each tenant sets its own hours. For more places to eat and shop, see our restaurants and shopping pages.

Music and shows at the Plaza

The Plaza lists The Royal Riviera, live jazz at Sant Ambroeus, every Thursday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM; its calendar shows Thursdays from October 22, 2026 through March 4, 2027, the latest date listed. Ticketed performances happen at Glazer Hall. The Plaza’s events calendar lists Miami City Ballet: American Odyssey on Saturday, November 21, 2026 (the event page gives 7:30 pm and the calendar adds a 3:30 pm performance), The Hot Sardines: Holiday Stomp on Thursday, December 3, 2026 at 8 pm, and an evening with pianist Emanuel Ax.

The Plaza also lists one tasting tied to the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival on December 12, 11:00 to 12:30. The festival’s own home page lists no venues on the island, so we do not call the festival an island event.

  • The Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival home page gives December 10 to 13, 2026 but no venue list on the island; the Royal Poinciana Plaza lists one festival-related tasting on December 12, 11:00 to 12:30. Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival: home page

Bradley Park

The Town lists Bradley Park at 343 Royal Poinciana Way, open 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Preservation Foundation says E.R. Bradley’s Beach Club closed in 1945 and Bradley willed the casino grounds to the Town for a public park, which is now Bradley Park.

What is nearby, and what is not

The Flagler Museum is at One Whitehall Way. The Museum says its free lot is open during Museum hours only, with entrances on Cocoanut Row and Whitehall Way, and that it is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 12 to 5 p.m., closed Mondays. Admission, tours and exhibitions are on our arts and culture page.

The Lake Trail runs along the island’s west shore. The Town describes it as nearly six miles long, from the Royal Park Bridge to the North End of the island. The Town names no official access points, and we do not invent one here. E-bikes, scooters and every other electric or motorized mode are banned on it. Length, rules and parking are on our Lake Trail page.

Bethesda-by-the-Sea is not on Royal Poinciana Way: the church is at 141 South County Road, south of the north-end streets, and The Breakers lists its address as One South County Road. The Society of the Four Arts is at 100 Four Arts Plaza; it tells drivers coming over the Royal Park Bridge to make the first left onto Four Arts Plaza.

Parking on Royal Poinciana Way

The Town lists Royal Poinciana and the other North End streets as ParkMobile zones with meters active 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Royal Poinciana Way is not on the Master Fee Schedule’s $7.00 list, which leaves the $5.00 an hour rate for “All other ParkMobile Spaces”; the Town publishes no block-by-block rate map, so check the posted zone sign. When a session reaches its maximum time, the Town says the car must move to a different ParkMobile zone number to pay for another session. Fines are $60 in commercial areas and $75 in residential areas.
